Crouch Bowling Club was founded in 1935 and is located in Crouch Gardens (off Bramber Lane) East Street, Seaford. The Club’s aim is to provide members with facilities for bowling in accordance with the rules of Bowls England and the Sussex County Bowling Association.
Seaford Town Council owns the bowling green. Members of the club pay an annual season ticket fee covering all play from 1st May to 30th September, such season ticket also permitting play at other council greens.
The club is an associate member of Bowls England as well as the Men’s and Women’s National and County Bowling Associations, enabling players to enter National and County competitions.
Crouch Bowling Club is a mixed club and provides equally for ladies and gentlemen. There are some 70 matches on the fixture list, which include club drives and visiting touring teams. The club also plays in National and County competitions such as Top Club and Double Rink.
The club also plays competitively in the Meridian League. Members also play in the mixed Newhaven Evening League and Newhaven competitions.
There are in-house knock out competitions for all, plus two leagues throught the season on a weekday evening and a Friday morning.
The Social Committee arranges a varied programme of events during the year.
Crouch is a friendly club and new members are most welcome whether existing bowlers or not. Free qualified coaching and instruction is provided on request.
Entry to all club competitions closes on 30th April.
